After Christmas 1944

Good People!

Once more, thanks very much for your goodness and love.  Christmas was lovely and peaceful.  I was able to manage to get away somewhat from my situation etc.  Midnight Mass was the most beautiful Christmas Mass I’ve ever celebrated.  And now the new year is coming up.  I wish you a great blessing for 1945.  And whatever I can do to make that wish effective, I will surely and happily do.  I ask for myself that you continue your prayer and the goodness you’ve shown in helping me.  And perhaps God is building the bridge soon….

Would you please try to get from Theo or Tatt a 1945 directorium [a book also known as an Ordo outlining the liturgical rubrics for the year]. for Mass and the breviary.  You see, I’m still optimistic and confident, just as I was in October with the shoes (which people thought I wouldn’t wear out).

All the best, and may God bless and protect you.
